Kerry Noble is 57 years young and has been married to his best friend, Kay, for 36 years. They have six grown children and six grandchildren.
With a professional background in sales and management, Kerry has been a successful entrepreneur for 20 years, first as a professional photographer for over 10 years and then with a children's books business for over 10 years. Since 1995, Kerry has also been a professional public speaker.
But years before this phase of his life and before he became a grandfather, Kerry Noble was a TERRORIST and in 1984 was within seconds of committing what would have been the largest domestic terrorist act in the history of the United States at that time.
"As a child I dreamed of being a cowboy. Raised in a middle-class environment as a Golden Rule, "turn-the-other-cheek" Christian, my mother was a Sunday school teacher who taught me Christian beliefs as far back as I can remember. Involved in community service from age 6 (in my school's Safety Patrol program) through age 14 (with volunteer work at a state school for the mentally handicapped), I later competed in interscholastic activities and was president of various school clubs.
"I was recommended for the police academy by my high school counselor, having graduated in the top quarter of my class. I voluneered for the military when I was 18, though turned down for health reasons. I was called into Christian ministry at 19 and licensed to preach by a Southern Baptist church at 21. I went to college for almost 2 years after getting married in 1973. I was later ordained by an independent charismatic church when I was 24, enabling me into the ministry I so loved. My future seemed bright, filled with hope that my dreams were coming to pass. The events of my life from 1972 to 1979 should have foreshadowed a life of potential.
"Yet despite my nonviolent, nonracist background, and despite of all the opportunities that lay before me, in 1985, at the age of 32, I was arrested by the FBI for conspiracy to possess unlawful weapons, while a member of what had become a destructive cult.
"I was given a 5-year prison sentence and spent 26 months in jail and prison.
"By violating my own core values, my dreams vanished because I made unwise choices and decisions in life. But I was determined to straighten out my life and make wise choices and decisions again, choices that would benefit my life rather than allow it to suffer.
"Today, I am a successful family man, author, speaker and businessman."
